Penman Sedgwick are pleased to announce the acquisition of local two partner firm Jeffrey Doctors & Marchant. Jeffrey Doctors & Marchant are a niche practice specialising in residential and commercial conveyancing for both freehold and leasehold for over 30 years.
Both Jeffrey Doctors and John Marchant will be joining Penman Sedgwick as consultants following the acquisition which will assist with the smooth transition of their workload. “We are very excited by this acquisition which should greatly enhance our Property Department” said Head of the Property Department Claire Miller.

Watford lawyers announce take over of property firm
Watford law firm Penman Sedgwick has announced the acquisition of firm Jeffrey Doctors & Marchant on August 1, 2015.
Penman Sedgwick dates back to 1836 and currently operate out of offices in George Street just behind St Mary’s Church in Watford High Street.
They have 12 lawyers dealing with property, private client, litigation, family and criminal law.
Jeffrey Doctors & Marchant was established by Jeffrey Doctors in 1978 and has two partners, Jeffrey Doctors and John Marchant, who joined the firm in 1982.
They specialise in preparing documents for property transfers across the country, including domestic and commercial, freehold and leasehold.
Both Jeffrey Doctors and John Marchant will be joining Penman Sedgwick as consultants following the acquisition.
Jacqueline Alderton, senior partner at Penman Sedgwick, said: "We would like to welcome Jeffrey Doctors and John Marchant into our practice. With this addition our property department will become one of the biggest property departments in Watford."
